First Friday is a monthly community evening held on the first Friday of the month, when participating Orleans businesses stay open later and offer a welcoming, lively atmosphere throughout town.

Most businesses participate between 5:00–8:00 PM, though hours and offerings may vary by business. 

This year's Holiday Edition on December 4th will take place 3:00-7:00pm.

Yes! First Fridays are free and open to the public.

You will find extended shopping hours, special promotions, live music, pop-ups, food and drink specials, art, and other unique offerings. Each business chooses how they participate. Click on Participating Businesses in the menu and select the date to see the most up to date happenings around town!

Because Orleans businesses are spread throughout town, it’s not always easy to walk to every participating location in one evening. Instead, there are several First Friday “hubs” where multiple businesses are located close together. To help visitors explore more of town, the First Friday Trolley, runs between hubs and stops at key locations.

First Fridays are powered by participating businesses throughout town. Each shop, gallery, and restaurant plans and hosts its own programming for the evening.

If you’re interested in performing, hosting a pop-up, or showcasing your work, we encourage you to reach out directly to the businesses you know or would love to collaborate with. Connecting with them personally is the best way to get involved.
